Asmik wins the Österreichischer Musiktheaterpreis:

"Special Jury Prize" 

It has just been announced that Asmik Grigorian will receive the prestigious Österreichischer Musiktheaterpreis in the "Special Jury Prize" category, an award celebrating exceptional contributions to Austria's opera and theater scene. 

Established in 2012 by Consul Karl-Michael Ebner, this prize honors outstanding achievements in the country's opera houses, theaters, and festival landscape. Productions from the previous season are submitted by theaters and assessed by a distinguished jury of media representatives, who can also nominate remarkable works, thereby enhancing the diversity of nominations and reflecting Austria's rich cultural tapestry. The award ceremony will be held during a gala matinee on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the Vienna Volksoper.
